 Foresters and Radiothons
Foresters is the founding sponsor and international underwriter of Children's Miracle Network Radiothon program in the US, Canada and the UK. In 2008, Radiothons raised more than $50 million US across all three countries.
Radiothons are a cooperative effort among Children's Miracle Network hospitals, ForestersTM, community-minded radio stations, and volunteers. The format includes patient stories, facts and interviews to involve listeners and encourage them to call with a pledge to support their local children's hospital.
Foresters commitment to underwrite the Radiothon program allows 100% of raised funds to stay in the community and goes directly to helping children and their families at their local Children's Miracle Network hospital to fund life-saving equipment, research, disease and injury prevention, education and outreach programs.
Foresters also supports Radiothon events locally in many communities through local sponsorships with radio stations, donations to hospitals, and volunteering support. Every year, Foresters members and employees organize and participate in other fundraising events for their local Children's Miracle Network hospital.
